Mr. Randy Klapstein, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Klapstein has over 25 years of experience in the real estate development industry, beginning his career in the residential construction and drywall business in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Under Mr. Klapsteins’ guidance, Pointe of View has grown to be the largest multi-family developer in Western Canada. Mr. Klapstein believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy home ownership and invest in their future. To fulfill that passion, he recognized a need to offer quality, practically priced homes to first-time buyers, young professionals, empty nesters and seniors.

Mr. Brian J. Stoddard, President & Chief Operating Officer
Brian J. Stoddard is a Chartered Accountant with over twenty-five years of business experience. Mr. Stoddard attended Acadia University where he obtained an undergraduate degree in business administration. Prior to joining Pointe of View, Mr. Stoddard was a senior partner with Grant Thornton LLP. At Grant Thornton LLP Mr. Stoddard served in several capacities including a three year term on the firm’s Policy Board, the governing body of Grant Thornton LLP. Mr. Stoddard also spent approximately 50% of his time in client service and it is in this role that he was involved with Pointe of View assisting us with strategy and our North American expansion. Mr. Stoddard was a key advisor to some of Grant Thornton’s LLP largest clients and has significant experience assisting businesses with business expansion into the United States strategy and succession planning.

Ms. Daina Nelson, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Nelson joined Pointe of View in 2001 and has been a facilitator of change during Pointe of Views explosive financial growth over the past four years. She obtained her CA designation in 2001 with Deloitte, specializing in owner managed enterprises. Ms. Nelson also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Calgary. She led the financial reporting and tax, human resources, and information technology as Controller prior to being promoted to CFO in 2005.

Mr. David J. MacKenzie, Vice President, Development and Acquisitions
Mr. MacKenzie began his career in Calgary with an affiliate of General Motors in 1987. He served in marketing, management and a senior management capacity for the better part of 10 years. He joined Pointe of View in 1998 as General Sales Manager and in 2004, was appointed to Vice President of Development & Acquisitions. His in depth experience and knowledge in all aspects of the business, from acquiring land, through the development process and delivering a completed project gives him the ability to successfully manage a project from start to finish. Mr. MacKenzie is responsible for overseeing acquisitions and development related matters for the company's operations in Western Canada and the United States. He attended the University of Calgary majoring in Management and is presently completing his M.I.R.M. (Member of the Institute of Residential Marketing) designation.

Mr. Harvey Russell, Vice President of Business Development, Ontario Region

Mr. Russell has over 20 years of experience in the real estate business. He spent three years in residential marketing then advanced to commercial sales and marketing. He specialized in commercial investment sales and land transactions. His business demanded considerable travel and exposure to several Canadian cities. He joined the national commercial real estate firm of CB Richard Ellis in 1993 and was appointed Vice President in 1996. In 2002, Mr. Russell was appointed Vice President of Business Development for Pointe of View. Since joining the company, he has begun facilitating the development of over 800 multi-family suites in the Ontario region.

Mr. Allan C. Thompson, Vice President of Construction USA
With a proven, 40-year track record in construction, Mr. Thompson brings a wealth of hands on experience to lead Pointe of View in the US market. He has been involved in multi-million dollar projects in Calgary and across the United States ranging from commercial enterprises and industrial developments to residential high-rise towers. Al brings to Pointe of View in-depth knowledge from project inception to construction completion, from permit approvals to budget and schedule planning. Highlights of his lengthy career include the construction management of his most recent project, a $40 million dollar mid-rise structure consisting of mixed-use commercial/retail space and luxury residential units in Florida back to his very first work in the 1970’s as a superintendent in Calgary overseeing the formwork and carpentry work of apartment buildings and office towers. A proven, dedicated leader, his passion for development and his impeccable managerial skills are qualities ensuring the success of our projects in Santa Ana, San Diego, and Phoenix.

Mr. John S. Jung, General Counsel
Mr. Jung is a lawyer with over 10 years of legal experience. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary, Bachelor of Laws from the University of Wales and Masters of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. Prior to joining Pointe of View, Mr. Jung worked as an associate lawyer with the national law firm of Miller Thomson LLP. At Miller Thomson LLP, Mr. Jung assisted clients through numerous commercial and residential real estate transactions, complex commercial financings, corporate structuring and restructuring, asset acquisitions and dispositions and share transactions. Additionally, Mr. Jung has honed his planning and development knowledge through his positions as a board member of The City of Calgary Planning Commission and The City of Calgary Subdivision Appeal Board.
